know your farmer

lauraLaura Neale kicked off her organic farming career as a MOFGA apprentice in 1996 and since then has farmed extensively in California and on the East Coast.  She attended the Apprenticeship in Ecological Horticulture at the University of Santa Cruz, was a delegate at Terra Madre, the international Slow Food Conference in Turin, Italy, served on the Board of Directors of WWOOF-USA, and is a graduate of the MOFGA Journey Person Program.

Laura loves to run around in the sunshine and is constantly in awe of the fact that food comes out of the earth.  She loves the gorgeous colors of the veggies, the crazy rhythm of the growing season and the humbling moments, victories and challenges of collaborating with nature.

Laura is so grateful for the opportunity to grow and share food. A native New Yorker, a long time resident of California and life long lover of Maine, she loves the beach, is a triple aquarius and her favorite vegetables are kale, carrots and sweet peppers.
